News Seth Stewart and Christopher Jackson Will Return to Broadway's In the Heights in December The producers of the 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical In the Heights will welcome original cast members Christopher Jackson and Seth Stewart back to the Broadway run for its final weeks at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

They join original star and Tony-winning songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also comes back for a farewell. The run ends 7 PM Jan. 9, 2011.

Seth Stewart ("Graffiti Pete") re-joins the cast on Dec. 6, The Lion King veteran Christopher Jackson ("Benny") re-joins the cast on Dec. 20, and Miranda ("Usnavi") re-joins the cast on Dec. 25. All three will play through the final performance. Jackson has been with the project since its developmental days in 2002; Stewart was seen in the most recent revival of Sweet Charity.

Conceived by Miranda, with a libretto by Quiara Alegria Hudes, In the Heights is set in the Latino community of Washington Heights, at the top of Manhattan, where friends, lovers and family address questions of ambition and identity in a world on the brink of transition.

Thomas Kail directs. Choreography is by Andy Blankenbuehler.

The playing schedule for In the Heights is as follows: Tuesdays and Sundays at 7 PM, Monday, Wednesdays-Saturdays at 8 PM, with matinees Saturdays and Sundays at 2 PM. There will be added performances Nov. 24 at 8 PM, Nov. 26 at 2 PM, Dec. 22 at 2 PM and 8 PM, and Dec. 29 at 2 PM and 8 PM. There will be no performances Nov. 28, Dec. 24, Dec. 25 at 2 PM, Dec. 31, and Jan. 2 at 7 PM.
