Last chance to see Shakespeare and Company's current production of the Bard's classic romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, which closes Sept. 2. This is the first time the play has been performed at the 600-seat outdoor amphitheater in 16 years. The show opened in Lenox, MA, on July 21.
As reported earlier, director Cecil MacKinnon, a 20-year company veteran, helmed the production which features Jason Asprey (Mercutio), Ariel Bock (Nurse), Johnny Lee Davenport(Lord Capulet), Ted Hewlett (Tybalt), Malcolm Ingram (Friar Lawrence), Hasanni Issa (Prince), Tom Jaeger (Peter), Robert Lohbauer (Lord Montague), Manu Narayan (Romeo), Carolyn Roberts (Juliet) John Sarrouf (Benvolio), Ty Skelton (Paris) and Bonnie Lee Whang (Lady Capulet).
The production team for Romeo and Juliet comprises assistant director and choreographer Susan Dibble, fight choreographer Kevin Coleman, costume designer Arthur Oliver, scenic designer Jim Youngerman, lighting designer Michael Giannitti and sound designer and scorer Don DiNicola.
