News Sheehan, Hocking, Champlin and Shaddow Set for Molly Maguires Musical A special four-performance run of the new musical The Molly Maguires will be presented April 26-28 at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Sheryl Kaller will direct the production, which will feature the talents of Ciaran Sheehan, Thom Sesma, Leah Hocking, William Parry, Donna Lynne Champlin, Ken Jennings and Elena Shaddow. John McDaniel will be the musical director and conductor.

The Molly Maguires, which was also a successful 1970 Paramount film, is set in 1877 and tells "the tale of a secret society of immigrant Irish mine workers who fight against prejudice and injustice in the mining industry."

The musical features a book by William Strzempek and a score by Sid Cherry. The production will feature design by Charles Corcoran and lighting by Michael Gilliam.

Jim Burke is producing the limited engagement, which, press notes state, is "part of a month-long festival celebrating the achievements of Northeastern Pennsylvania's coal miners and, especially, their contribution to the advancement of social justice in the United States."
