News Sheik, Antibalas, Peyroux to Perform in Broadway-Themed Concerts in River to River Festival Duncan Sheik, the Tony Award-winning composer of Spring Awakening, and Antibalas, the Afrobeat musicians who currently form the orchestra to Broadway's Fela!, are among the performers scheduled for the River to River Festival, the largest free summer arts festival in New York.

Sheik, Antibalas and singer-songwriter Madeleine Peyroux, who is known for provocative interpretations of classic standards, will perform at Castle Clinton National Monument in Battery Park as part of the festival's "Broadway2Battery" theme. Peyroux will perform July 8 at 7 PM, Sheik will perform July 15 at 7 PM and Antibalas will perform July 22 at 7 PM.

The festival will also include "Dan Zane Jam and Jubilee," a performance of family-friendly Broadway classics by Dan Zane and Friends on July 4; and Movie Nights on the Elevated Acre, outdoor screenings of films with a Broadway theme, including "Broadway Danny Rose" (July 29), "Auntie Mame" (Aug. 5), "The Country Girl" (Aug. 12) and "The Muppets Take Manhattan" (Aug. 19).

Castle Clinton National Monument is located at State Street and Battery Place in Battery Park in Lower Manhattan. Admission is free, but tickets to the Antibalas performance will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 5 PM July 22.
