Shoshana Bean, the first Elphaba replacement in Broadway’s Wicked, will offer a sneak peek at her forthcoming new album in an 8 PM September 14 club show in San Diego, California.

Shoshana Bean Live! will kick off at 8 PM at Martinis Above Fourth nightclub located at 3940 Fourth Avenue in San Diego.

Bean, who was also in the ensemble of Broadway’s Hairspray and understudied several roles including Tracy Turnblad, will perform a mix of pop and Broadway, plus original songs from her past albums. She will also tease numbers from her fourth album, Long Time Coming, due out this fall.

She appeared as Fanny Brice in a 2016 revival of Funny Girl at North Shore Musical Theatre in Massachusetts, and played CeeCee Bloom in the 2015 Chicago prodiction of the musical Beaches.

In the pop world, she has toured internationally with Postmodern Jukebox, performed alongside Brian McKnight and Bebe Winans, and sang backup for Michael Jackson at his 30th anniversary concert at Madison Square Garden. Bean arranged vocals for Jennifer Lopez’s American Idol performance of “I Luh Ya Papi,” and her music has been featured in television shows on NBC, MTV, Oxygen, Bravo, and Showtime.

Tickets for the San Diego show cost $40–$50 plus a $15 food/drink minimum.
