The new season of the drama kicks off at 10 PM (ET). Check local listings.

Parker reprises her Golden Globe Award-winning turn (she is currently Emmy Award-nominated a second time for the role as well) as widowed suburban mother Nancy Botwin who turns to selling marijuana to make ends meet. Kirk returns as Andy Botwin, her deceased husband's brother.

The series also features series regulars Elizabeth Perkins, Tonye Patano, Romany Malco, Hunter Parrish, Alexander Gould, Andy Milder, Allie Grant and Kevin Nealon. Matthew Modine and Mary-Kate Olsen join the cast this season with cameo appearances slated for Zooey Deschanel and Carrie Fisher.

The first episode of season three is titled "Doing the Backstroke" and is described as such: "After being threatened by U-Turn and The Armenians, Nancy goes in search of Silas and her hijacked pot. Meanwhile, Celia has Silas arrested for stealing her 'Drug Free Zone' signs. Nancy visits him in jail only to discover that the pot is still in his car — the one that Celia has just driven away in."

Parker, last seen on the Broadway stage in the revival of Reckless, earned a Tony Award for her role in David Auburn's Proof. Other credits include Bus Stop, Communicating Doors, How I Learned to Drive, Four Dogs and a Bone, The Art of Success and The Age of Pie. She earned an Emmy Award for her role in the HBO adaptation of Angels in America and also appeared on "The West Wing." Her film work includes "Saved!," "Boys on the Side," "Red Dragon," "Fried Green Tomatoes," "Bullets Over Broadway" and more. Kirk — who co-starred with Parker in "Angels in America" — has appeared onstage in Love! Valour! Compassion, Ten Unknowns, The World Over and Old Wicked Songs. He was also seen on film in "Puccini for Beginners," "Ask the Dust" and the screen version of "Love! Valour! Compassion."

Rolin Jones — who penned the play The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow — serves as a writer for the series.
