Tony Award nominee B.J. Crosby will perform in the China Club's Broadway Series on three consecutive Sundays starting Sept. 13. Crosby received a 1995 Tony nomination for Smokey Joe's Cafe, in which she sang such standards as "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" and "Hound Dog." Most recently she played Effie in the 1997-98 tour of Dreamgirls. Her recordings include "Smokey Joe's Cafe" and "Lady BJ Sings Lady Day, A Tribute To Billie Holiday."

There is a $35 cover charge for B.J. Crosby as well as a $15 drink minimum. Performances are Sept. 13, 20, and 27 and begin at 8PM (doors open at 7:15 PM). Reservations can be made by calling (212) 398-3800. The China Club is located at 268 West 47th Street.

Future plans for the China Club Broadway Series include Christiane Noll (Jekyll & Hyde) and Craig Schulman (Les Miserables).
