SAN GABRIEL, CA -- Single tickets are now on sale for Music Theatre of Southern California's production of My Fair Lady, which will be performed Feb. 5-23, 1999 at the Civic Auditorium in San Gabriel and Feb. 26-28, 1999 at the Alex Theatre in Glendale.

My Fair Lady was adapted from George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion by Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe. It opened on Broadway in 1956 starring Rex Harrison and Julie Andrews, and went on to enjoy a 6 1/2-year run, followed by the movie version in 1964. Harrison was cast by Warner Brothers, but Julie Andrews was passed over in favor of Audrey Hepburn as Eliza. Andrews never forgot that indignity and has refused to work for the studio ever since.
