News Society of Singers to Honor Andrews, Bennett, Horne and More Jan. 27 A benefit performance for the Society of Singers, Chapter East, will be held Jan. 27, 2004, at the Triad in Manhattan.

The 7 PM concert will honor Society of Singers award winners "for making unique and meaningful contributions to our music." Those singers who will be honored include Julie Andrews, Louis Armstrong, Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney, Placido Domingo, Michael Feinstein, Ella Fitzgerald, Eydie Gorme, Lena Horne, Steve Lawrence, Peggy Lee, Barry Manilow, Tony Martin, Bobby Short, Frank Sinatra and Joe Williams. A host of theatre and cabaret stars will interpret songs made famous by the aforementioned award winners. Scheduled to perform are KT Sullivan, Fran Warren, Melissa Hamilton, Terri Stevens, Trudi Mann, Group 5, Joan Wile, Bob Stewart, Jimmy Randolf, Kent Drake, Sandi Durell, Marion Cowings, Stuart G. Sagen and Stan Edwards.

The Triad is located in Manhattan at 158 West 72nd Street, between Broadway and Columbus Avenue. There is a $25 cover charge plus a two drink minimum for the concert; call (212) 787-7921 for reservations.
