News Sold Out Dead Man's Cell Phone Gets Two Added Performances in NYC Playwrights Horizons has added two performances to its sold-out run of the New York premiere of Sarah Ruhl's Dead Man's Cell Phone, starring Mary-Louise Parker. The extra shows are March 29 at 2:30 PM and 8 PM.

Tickets for both performances of the Anne Bogart-directed play are now on sale. Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl is known for The Clean House and Eurydice.

Dead Man's Cell Phone began previews Feb. 9 and opened March 4 for a limited engagement at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater, 416 W. 42nd Street.

Mary-Louise Parker returns to the stage for the first time since earning a 2005 Tony nomination for the Broadway production of Reckless. She previously won a Tony Award for Proof and was also nominated for Prelude to a Kiss. She stars in the hit Showtime series, "Weeds," for which she earned a Golden Globe Award, as well as an Emmy nomination and a second Golden Globe nomination. The series enters its fourth season this year.

Parker is joined onstage by Kathleen Chalfant, T. Ryder Smith, David Aaron Baker, Carla Harting and Kelly Maurer.

In Dead Man's Cell Phone, according to PH, "Gordon (Smith) is dead, but his cell phone lives on. When Jean (Parker), an empathetic museum worker, answers his ringing phone beside her in a café, she is soon playing unwitting comforter and confessor to the man's grieving friends and family. Before she knows it, Jean is ensnarled in the underbelly of the dead man's bizarre life. A wildly imaginative new comedy, Dead Man's Cell Phone is the odyssey of a woman forced to confront her assumptions about morality, redemption and the need to connect in a technology-obsessed world."
