The PlayhouseSquare-Great Lakes Theater co-production runs through July 8 under the direction of Victoria Bussert at the Hanna Theatre at PlayhouseSquare. The musical revue splices interviews with Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer-lyricist Sondheim with selections from his musicals.

Originally conceived and directed by collaborator James Lapine (Passion, Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park...), Sondheim On Sondheim debuted on Broadway during the 2010 season. It is composed of songs from musicals featuring lyrics by Sondheim, including West Side Story and Gypsy, as well as shows for which he authored music and lyrics, including Merrily We Roll Along, Passion, Company, Follies, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Sweeney Todd, Into The Woods and more.

The Apple Tree), Destan Owens (Broadway's Chicago, Smokey Joe's Cafe), Brian Sutherland (Broadway's The Light in the Piazza, Steel Pier) and Emily Walton (Broadway's August Osage County) and Baldwin-Wallace College students James Penca and Ciara Renée.

Sondheim On Sondheim has choreography by Gregory Daniels, musical direction by Matthew Webb, lighting design by Mary Jo Dondlinger, scenic design by Jeff Herrmann, sound design by Richard B. Ingraham and costume design by Charlotte Yetman. Video projections are by Daniel Brodie.

The Broadway production had arrangements by David Loud and orchestrations by Michael Starobin.
