News Song, No Dance to Feature Paul Scott Goodman, Ashley Kate Adams, Jenny Fellner, Devyn Rush The Beautiful Soup Theater Collective, founded by artistic director Steven Carl McCasland, will present a benefit evening titled Song, No Dance Jan. 16, 2011, at The TAI GROUP [The Artist's Institute] in Manhattan.

The evening, which begins at 7:30 PM, will benefit the Collective and its winter production of Crossing Brooklyn, a musical by Jenny Giering and Laura Harrington.

McCasland, at the piano, will be joined by Paul Scott Goodman, Ashley Kate Adams, Jenny Fellner and Devyn Rush. The benefit will also feature new voices in musical theatre, including Shannon Agnew (Pace University), Mallory Berlin (Ithaca College), Logan Riley Bruner, Emily Floyd (NYU Tisch), Charlie Duncan, John Johmann, Kathleen Moran, Gary Richardson, Jennifer Spears (Five Towns) and rising composer Matthew Walsh (Marymount), who will premiere new works. 

There will also be a silent auction with materials donated by Tony Award winner Laura Benanti and Tony Award nominee Kate Baldwin as well as spa packages, vocal coachings and headshot packages.

The TAI GROUP [The Artist's Institute] is located at 150 West 30th Street, 14th floor. Tickets are available at the door, cash only, for $25. Students with a valid ID will receive a $5 discount.
