Cabaret & Concert News South Pacific Star Paulo Szot Plans Concert of “Rare” Showtunes The Tony Award winner comes to Feinstein’s 54 Below June 6–10

Paulo Szot, the Brazilian operatic baritone who won the 2008 Tony Award as Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as Emile in South Pacific, will make his sixth concert appearance at Feinstein’s/54 Below June 6–10 with Salute to Broadway, an all-new program of show music.

For this concert of “rare masterpieces from lesser known musicals,” Szot will be accompanied by pianist Billy Stritch as music director.

Performances will take place 7 PM June 6–9, plus 9:30 PM June 8 and 10.

Szot was a special guest performer on Playbill’s first Broadway by the Sea cruise.
