Radio station 106.7 Lite FM presents the free lunchtime series "Broadway in Bryant Park," featuring current and upcoming stageshows and artists performing showtunes at the midtown green. Continuing every Thursday through Aug. 18, the series plays at the park from 12:30 PM to approximately 1:30 PM.
Dancers Responding to AIDS presents this week's event which will kick off with a highlight performance by the original cast of Rent — fresh from filming the upcoming movie. Numbers from Sweet Charity and Naked Boys Singing will be performed and dancers from shows including The Phantom of the Opera, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Fiddler on the Roof, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Lion King will participate.

The HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival 2005 — which screens free movies on the lawn starting at dusk on Monday nights — will feature Neil Simon's "The Odd Couple" (a revival of which starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick is expected for Broadway in the fall) and Edward Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"
