The video chronicles the show's journey from Grammy-winning Green Day album to one of the most anticipated musicals of this Broadway season, with commentary from Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and many of the show's creative team, including director Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening), arranger Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) and stars John Gallagher, Jr. (Spring Awakening) and Rebecca Naomi Jones (Passing Strange).
Following a record-breaking run at Berkeley Repertory Theatre this past September, American Idiot begins previews at the St. James Theatre March 24 and will officially open April 20.
