News Spider-Man Star Jason Gotay Will Direct Youth Production of Shrek, Featuring Over 60 Actors Jason Gotay, who starred in Broadway's high-flying musical Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, will swing over to Brooklyn to direct a youth production of Shrek the Musical, featuring a cast of over 60.

Performances of Narrows Community Theater's Shrek will be offered Aug. 29-Sept. 7 at the Fort Hamilton Army Base Theater.

Antonio Oliveri and Jessica Sparacio will star as Shrek and Princess Fiona, respectively, with Jose Mendez as Donkey, Alexander Deverson as Lord Farquaad, Courtney McEvoy Lee as Dragon, Lucy Sullivan as Pinocchio, George Raiola as Big Bad Wolf, Amanda Summa as Gingerbread Man, Abigail Summa as Young Fiona, Kiera Doherty as Teen Fiona and Annika Krupczyn as the dance captain.

Rounding out the ensemble are Iravan Bhattacharyya, Gabriel Buzock, Anthony Cantone, Christina Cantone, Mikayla Cappillo, Samantha Chiu, Sarah Chiu, Natalie Cintron, Juliet Courgis, Elizabeth D'Amico, Meghan DePrado, Abigail Doherty, Emma Doherty, Emily Downey, Laura Downey, Sarah Downey, Christina Economakos, Vasiliky Economakes, Eleni Economakos, Stavorula Economakos, Steven J. Fazzolari, Alice Foppiani, Ian Forsyth, Dimitri Gournelos, Maria Gournelos, Anne Hart, Campbell Helm, Murphy Helm, Amelie Jacobs, Marina Karahalois, Katherine Kokeas, Stephanie Kokeas, Dylan Lall, Emily LaRosa, Pascale Leone, Tristan Leone, Anita Lugina, Sasha Lugina, Brian Mansell, Bridin McCann, Sadie McCann, Cara Mulrooney, Julia O'Hara, Kayla Otero, Alexis Paolino, Eamon Richards, Caroline Rohde, Olivia Rohde, Emily Ryan, Caitlyn Schmidt, Liam Specht, Annie Sullivan, Jeannie Tramantono and Rose Walsh.

The creative team also includes choreographer Lane Halperin and music director Paolo C. Perez. The Tony-nominated musical Shrek, based on the 2001 DreamWorks film of the same name and William Steig's 1990 book "Shrek!," features music by Jeanine Tesori and a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire.
