News Spiner Will Be the Man of La Mancha for Reprise Theatre Company Brent Spiner, who played Data on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and appeared in the original cast of Sunday in the Park with George, will star in the title role of the Reprise Theatre Company's upcoming production of Man of La Mancha.

Directed by Michael Michetti, who is co-artistic director of The Theatre at Boston Court, the production will play a limited engagement at UCLA's Freud Playhouse Feb. 14, 2009-March 1, 2009. Additional casting will be announced shortly. Man of La Mancha features a book by Dale Wasserman with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion.

Brent Spiner has also been seen in the four "Star Trek" feature films: "Generations," "First Contact," "Insurrection" and "Nemesis." His New York stage credits also include A History of the American Film, Big River, The Three Musketeers, The Seagull, 1776 (Drama Desk Award nominee for Best Actor in a Musical) and Life x 3.

Thanks to a partnership grant from The Sheri and Les Biller Family Foundation, more than 3,300 underserved youth will attend an additional week of free student performances.
