News Spring Awakening and Coram Boy Named Fan Favorites The new musical Spring Awakening and the recently closed Coram Boy were named Fan Favorites at the June 6 Stars in the Alley free outdoor concert.

Broadway fans were invited to vote on-line for their favorite play and musical of the season that just ended. Max Crumm and Laura Osnes, who will star in the upcoming Broadway revival of Grease, announced at the outdoor event that Spring and Coram had won the on-line vote for, respectively, favorite musical and favorite play.

Those who voted could enter to win the "Night on Broadway" prize package.

The Stars in the Alley concert featured performances and special appearances from cast members of Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, Company, Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone, Grey Gardens, Hairspray, Jersey Boys, Journey's End, Legally Blonde The Musical, Les Misérables, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Monty Python's Spamalot, A Moon for the Misbegotten, The Phantom of the Opera, The Pirate Queen, Radio Golf, Rent, Spring Awakening, Tarzan, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Xanadu.

Among the celebrities present were Ashley Parker Angel, Tamyra Gray, Swoosie Kurtz, Joey Lawrence, Jerry Mathers, Martha Plimpton, Vanessa Redgrave and Kevin Spacey.
