St. Louis Rep Swaps Louis & Keely for Beehive

News   St. Louis Rep Swaps Louis & Keely for Beehive
The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis has announced that the 1960's musical revue Beehive will replace Louis & Keely: Live at The Sahara on the 2010-2011 season lineup.

The change in the season is a result of scheduling conflicts for Louis & Keely authors and stars Vanessa Claire Smith and Jake Broder. The work was originally scheduled to run Dec. 1-26. The Rep has now moved the family classic Over the Tavern to fill the holiday slot. Beehive will close the 2010-2011 season March 16-April 10, 2011. Created by Larry Gallagher, the revue features such songs as "Respect," "Natural Woman," "My Boyfriend’s Back," "One Fine Day" and "Downtown."

The previously announced season includes Kauffman and Hart's You Can't Take It With You (Sept. 8-Oct. 3); Matthew Lombardo's High starring Kathleen Turner (Oct. 13-Nov. 7); Walter Mosley's The Fall of Heaven (Jan. 5-30, 2011) and Shakespeare's Macbeth (Feb. 9-March 6, 2011).
