In Ten Unknowns, follows a once-promising New York painter, who fled to Mexico some thirty years prior to find peace. When a pushy dealer proposes a huge Manhattan retrospective, the dormant artist suddenly begins producing his best work.
Robert Egan directs a cast that includes Patrick Breen, Klea Scott and Jonathan M. Woodward. The design team includes David Jenkins (set), Joyce Kim Lee (costumes), Michael Gilliam (lighting) and Jon Gottlieb (sound). The production also features original music by Adam Goldman.
Keach, who played television's Mike Hammer, recently returned as the father on the show "Titus." The actor's Broadway credits include The Kentucky Cycle, Solitary Confinement, Deathtrap and a Tony Award-nominated turn in Indians.
Ten Unknowns opened at Lincoln Center's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater on March 8 after a month of previews. Daniel Sullivan, who helmed other Baitz dramas including A Fair Country and The Substance of Fire, directed. Donald Sutherland starred with Julianna Margulies.
