A dramatic adaptation of Woody Allen¹s film "September" will make its French stage debut on Sept. 16. This 1987 film, starring Mia Farrow and Elaine Stritch, has been translated and adapted for the stage by Jacqueline Cohen. Cohen has provided the French translation for the last twelve Allen¹s movies, from "September" to "Celebrity."
The French production of September will star Christiane Minazzoli, Cécilia Hornus, Micky Sebastian, Jean-Claude Adelin, Jacques Brunet and Jean-Francois Remi, and will be directed by Joseph Hardy, a veteran of the American theatre. Hardy has directed plays and musicals on and Off Broadway as well as in Los Angeles, London, and many other cities.
Hardy¹s numerous credits include the original off-Broadway production of You¹re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, as well as Broadway¹s stagings of Woody Allen¹s Play It Again Sam and Child¹s Play, for which he won a Tony Award for Best Director of a Play. On stage and on TV, Hardy has worked with such stars as Elizabeth Taylor, Anthony Perkins, Mia Farrow and Richard Chamberlain. Hardy now lives in Paris.
