What show recently impressed you?
Porgy and Bess. Those people were up there singing — and they made it look so easy. And, I love seeing shows I could never be in — because I am not constantly looking for a job while watching.

What production are you most excited to see?
I am most excited to see Cruel Shoes. Because I am obsessed with serial killers and I am so excited to play one. That sounded wrong....

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
It's a long shot, but I will make it happen... I want them to revive Grand Hotel, and I want to play Otto Kringelein. I did it in college when I had no clue what I was doing, and I would love to get another stab at him now that I have lived life a bit. And, I need to play the Beggar Woman before I die. Oh — and Bobby Child in Crazy for You. That's all.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
After I finish Cruel Shoes, I go back to the other show I was working on called Walking Tall — The Tyler Maynard Story. It's about a guy searching for the best version of himself and healing his wounds along the way. It should be a success!

Tyler Maynard has been seen on Broadway in Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid and the recent revival of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. Read more about him in the Playbill Vault.
