Here, via email, we hear from singing actor Joe Carroll, who currently plays Prince Topher in Broadway's Cinderella.

What show recently impressed you?
There is just so much good theatre happening right now! My dear friend and former castmate Will Connelly co-wrote a show at Playwrights Horizons, Fly By Night, that was just wonderful. I also loved The Cripple of Inishmaan. I think there's something hypnotic and haunting about The Bridges of Madison County score. I can't stop listening, and I wake up in the morning humming the tunes.

What production are you most excited to see?
Because of a conflicting work schedule last fall, I missed Here Lies Love, so I'm really excited it's back. I'm super excited about Gentleman's Guide. I also can't wait to see Ramin Karimloo in Les Miz. You can’t imagine the hours I've spent on YouTube just me and Ramin.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
Oh man, that’s really hard to narrow down, Biff or Happy in Death of a Salesman, Antony in Sweeney; I’d absolutely love to play Hal in Henry IV. And, what I really hope is that Once stays around long enough so I can grow up a little and play "Guy" one day. I still can't believe I got to be a part of that amazing show.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
Currently it’s Cinderella, eight shows a week, and it’s a blast. All my free time in the summer I try to spend on the softball field. I play on three softball teams. One team allows me to play with my buddies from Once, and I would say my top goal this summer is to de-throne the team from Rock of Ages. A guy must have his priorities in order, you know?
