What show recently impressed you?
I absolutely loved Seminar with Alan Rickman. Since I am in a musical eight shows a week, I like to take a break and see as many plays as I can. The play is smart and funny, really thought-provoking... and I could watch him read the phone book!

What production are you most excited to see?
Well, obviously I can't wait to see Bonnie & Clyde... got to support my friend and mentor, Frank Wildhorn.  Really excited to see Jeremy [Jordan] and Laura [Osnes] in that. Also very excited to see Porgy and Bess.  One of my favorite musical works anyway, and when you add Audra [McDonald], it's a done deal. She's the reason I wanted to go to Juilliard, actually. Huge fan.

What are your current/upcoming projects?
I am hard at work now on my upcoming Jazz at Lincoln Center debut at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola in the Time Warner Center. I will be performing five nights with my quartet, Dec. 13-17, in the after-hours set — a brand-new set of music! So honored to be singing in that gorgeous space. Also, continuing to work on my writing and gigs with my band, and hopefully an album soon.
