What show recently impressed you?
I'm not much of a dancer and feel very secure promoting myself as a "double threat." So, it always makes my jaw drop to see a true triple threat in action, and On the Town is full of them. I think I pulled my hamstring three times just watching it. I mean, where else are you going to get a chance to hear a Leonard Bernstein score played by an orchestra of almost 40?! Tony Yazbeck earns the prize as the hardest-working man on Broadway, but the rest of the incredible cast comes in a close second, and they make it look so effortless!

And, for something completely different, I also had the chance to see Fun Home at the Public last year, and I could not be more thrilled that such a powerful and intimate show will be coming to Broadway. If you didn't get to see it last year, go now! I know I'll be back to see it again. Michael Cerveris for president.

What production are you most excited to see?
Speaking of presidents, I don't think I'm breaking the mold by saying that I'm dying to see Hamilton. But, Lin Manuel [Miranda] did break the mold when the hip-hop infused In the Heights hit the musical theater scene, and I've heard he has done it again with Hamilton. I've also gotten to know Lin Manuel and that he is a "West Wing" fanatic (which might be too light a term), so I'm beyond curious to see how he handles the office of the President of the United States in his own show. But I have a feeling ten dollar bills are gonna make a big comeback this year.

What play/musical would you most like to revive on Broadway, and which role would you want to play?
The top three on my bucket list are Billy in Carousel, Stine in City of Angels and Bobby in Company. I know Company and Carousel had revivals in the not-too-distant past, but it's time for Broadway to welcome City of Angels again! Who's with me!? What are your current/upcoming projects?
This spring, I'll be shooting a film called "Lyric Suite" about Austrian composer Alban Berg's classical string quartet of the same name. I'll be playing Berg, but included will be a performance by Rene Fleming performing the piece which carries a "haunting secret." You can learn more about it at I also have some fun summer work that I don't think I can quite publicize yet.

But I know all of us over at The Hunchback of Notre Dame are curious about the "upcoming" possibilities of our incredible show. This one is extremely special. It'll give you goosebumps and hopefully empty some tear ducts. Come see for yourselves!
