A host of celebs are scheduled to attend the "November BASH Benefit" that will raise funds for New York's Underwood Theater.
As of press time, those luminaries scheduled to appear at the event include playwrights Tony (Angels in America) Kushner, Theresa (The Butterfly Collection) Rebeck, Moisés (The Laramie Project) Kaufman and Doug (Quills) Wright; director/writer James (Into the Woods) Lapine; and actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, star of the current film "Secretary." The benefit will be held on Nov. 14 at Cream — 246 Columbus Avenue at 72nd Street — at 7 PM.
The evening will feature a deejay as well as a raffle that will include gift certificates as well as tickets to Broadway shows and Yankee games. Tickets for the event are priced at $45 (advance) and $50 (at the door) and may be purchased by calling (212) 459-3941.
Founded by Mandy Hackett and Ian McGloin, The Underwood Theater is a not for-profit theatre company dedicated to increasing opportunity for emerging playwrights.
