News Starry Group Will Pay Tribute to Late Director-Producer Mike Nichols A memorial for Mike Nichols, the director, producer, writer and performer who died in November 2014 at age 83, will be held Nov. 8 at an undisclosed location, according to Showbiz411.com.

Hosts for the private event will include Elaine May, Barry Diller, Bryan Lourd and Lorne Michaels.

Monty Python creators Eric Idle and John Cleese (Mr. Nichols directed the Tony-winning Monty Python's Spamalot) are scheduled to perform at the tribute, which will also feature such starry guests as Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski, Carly Simon, Nathan Lane, Julia Roberts, Clive Owen, Natalie Portman, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. News anchor Diane Sawyer, Mr. Nichols' widow, will also be in attendance.

Mr. Nichols was the recipient of Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards. He won more Tony Awards for Best Direction of a Play than any other individual.
