News Stars of Hamilton, Newsies and "Orange Is the New Black" Celebrate at the Apollo The Classical Theatre of Harlem will celebrate its 15th anniversary at the Apollo Theatre April 13. The event will be emceed by Leslie Odom, Jr. (Hamilton) and will feature appearances from Uzo Aduba ("Orange Is the New Black"), Tony winner Patina Miller and Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies), among others.

Other stars set to attend the event include Erich Bergen ("Madam Secretary"), Ron Cephas Jones (Between Riverside and Crazy), Nicolette Robinson (Brooklynite) and Tamara Tunie ("Law and Order"). The evening will feature the premiere of music from the new Off-Broadway musical Witness Uganda, winner of the American Academy of Arts and Letters 2014 Richard Rodgers Production Award for Musical Theater. Penned by Matt Gould and Griffin Matthews, the show was given a production at A.R.T directed by Diane Paulus.

CTH almost closed down a few years ago. Producing artistic director Ty Jones has been able to revive it, and it remains a vibrant organization presenting both new and old classics while creating comprehensive access for theatre artists of diverse backgrounds.
