Will & Grace Emmy winner Megan Mullally and Stephanie Hunt (Friday Night Lights, Somebody Up There Likes Me) will return to the Café Carlyle for a May 14–25 run with their punk-showbiz musical act Nancy and Beth. The duo played the Carlyle last year as part of a spring concert tour.
The genre-defying musical act is described as a “combination of psychic twinship, childlike enthusiasm, rigorous preparation of songs, and zero preparation of what happens in between.”
Mullally and Hunt are joined by Datri Bean (keyboards, vocals), Joe Berardi (drums), Petra Haden (strings, vocals), Roy Williams (guitar, vocals), and Andrew Pressman (bass, vocals).
Best known for her Emmy-winning turn as Karen on Will & Grace, Mullally starred on Broadway in Young Frankenstein and It’s Only a Play as well as revivals of Grease (1994) and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (1995).
The Café Carlyle is located inside the Carlyle Hotel at 35 East 76th Street in New York City. Tickets cost $75 to $185 and can be ordered at cafecarlylenewyork.com.
