Directed by Noah Himmelstein (The River Has No Water), the cast will be headed by Stephanie Pope Caffey. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Sammy Gets Mugged!, according to press notes, "is loosely based on a real mugging [the playwright] experienced in Paris in the spring of 2005. As much as he tries to get around it, Sammy got mugged one Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty scary. But for whom? Him, or his mysterious mugger, whose resolve is less than perfect?  [The play] recounts an antagonistic exchange between two strangers, all the wild possibilities that follow, and how we choose to remember the more unsavory moments in our lives."

Stephanie Pope Caffey has starred on Broadway in Chicago, Fosse, Kiss of the Spider Woman and was featured in ….Forum, Jelly’s Last Jam, The Will Rogers Follies, Sweet Charity and Big Deal. She also appeared in the national tour of Thoroughly Modern Millie and starred in the premiere of Smokey Joe's Cafe in London.

The production will also feature scenic and lighting design by David L. Arsenault and costume design by Mark Caswell.

Performances are scheduled for Aug. 15 at 2 PM, Aug. 18 at 6 PM, Aug. 20 at 9 PM, Aug. 26 at 8:45 PM and Aug. 28 at noon.
