News Sternhagen, Roberts, Easton and Copeland Take Part in Food for Thought One-Acts Food for Thought, the New York-based company that created the popular Lunch Time Series, has announced a celebrity line-up for its upcoming fall one-act readings.

The fall Lunch Time Series will kick off Sept. 24 with Frances Sternhagen, Kevin Stapleton and Jeremy Hollingworth reading Tennessee Williams' The Pretty Trap, which was the one-act precursor to The Glass Menagerie. Sept. 27 features Tony Roberts in O. Henry's A Municipal Report as well as A Life in a Plastic Bag by Susan Charlotte.

On Oct. 1 Food for Thought will boast Betsy Palmer and Karl Kenzler reading playwright Jerome Coopersmith's Eleanor. Oct. 10 features Tony winner Richard Easton reading One for the Road by Harold Pinter.

Oct. 11 presents Mel Brooks' Of Fathers and Sons and Ionesco's The Bald Soprano featuring Bob Dishy and Judy Graubart. Joyce Carol Oates will be in attendance on Oct. 15 to present her latest play to Food for Thought audiences.

Actress Joan Copeland will pay tribute to her late brother, playwright Arthur Miller, on Oct. 17; Copeland will read Miller's A Memory of Two Mondays.

The late Peter Stone will also be honored on the evening of Oct. 29 in a gala event featuring Marshall Brickman, Joan Copeland, Bob Dishy, Phyllis Newman, Gene Saks, Marian Seldes, Tommy Tune, Maury Yeston and Karen Ziemba. Tickets for the Lunch Time Series are $75, with lunch served at 12:30 PM followed by the 1:30 PM one-act reading. All readings are presented at The Players Club, located in Manhattan at 16 Gramercy Park South.
