Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers will play the famed Stern Auditorium Oct. 6 at 8 PM. Martin will perform songs from his new album, "The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo." His opening act is Ralph Stanley & the Clinch Mountain Boys. Martin won a Grammy for his collaboration with Earl Scruggs on "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" in 2001 and was nominated for six International Bluegrass Music Awards.

Steve Martin wrote and starred in such films as "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid," "The Man with Two Brains," "Roxanne," "L.A. Story" and "Bowfinger." His plays include Picasso at the Lapin Agile and The Underpants, and he also published the novellas "Shopgirl" and "The Pleasure of My Company." Martin was also one of the producers of the 2002 Broadway revival of The Elephant Man.
