Performances began September 27 for the Roundabout Theatre Company production of Alexi Kaye Campbell’s Apologia. Reprising her starring role from the acclaimed London run is Tony and Emmy Award winner Stockard Channing (A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, It's Only a Play).

In Apologia, a woman faces the repercussions of her past. In the 1960s, she was a radical activist and political protester. Now a celebrated art historian, the publication of her memoir threatens to split her family apart.

Daniel Aukin directs a cast completed by Hugh Dancy (Hannibal, Journey's End) as Peter and Simon, Megalyn Echikunwoke (Night School, Step Sisters) as Claire, Talene Monahon (Log Cabin, Bobbie Clearly) as Trudi, and John Tillinger (Joe Egg at Roundabout, The Changing Room) as Hugh.

Performances of Apologia are in the Laura Pels Theater in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. The production will officially open October 16 and is scheduled to run through December 16.
