Cause Célèbre and the Tina Brozman Foundation unite for Recipe for Life, a collection of plays featuring veteran Broadway performers. Proceeds from the productions benefit the Brozman Foundation, which is dedicated to ovarian cancer prevention and education.

The first offering will be A.R. Gurney's A Cheever Evening, starring Tony Roberts, Seldes and Michael Riedel on July 12. Gurney has adapted the work of the late American novelist and short-story writer for the event.

Stritch will appear in Tennessee Williams' The Pretty Trap, the precursor to The Glass Menagerie, July 13. Christopher Hart will stage the play, as well as Interior Panic (which later became A Streetcar Named Desire) that will also be staged in the same evening.

The final presentation will be Susan Charlotte's The Shoemaker, which will receive a full production at the Acorn June 15-18. Antony Marsellis will direct Danny Aiello and Carolyn McCormick in the play in which "a shoemaker is frantic to close his shop early. A woman with a broken sole is desperate for him to keep the shop open. A pair of shoes on a shelf await the return of its owner, who will never return for them. The day is a unique day. The characters will never be the same."

For tickets phone (646) 366-9340. The Acorn Theatre is located at 416 West 42nd Street.
