URBAN COWBOY: Liz Smith has reported that Aaron Latham & Phil Oesterman are working on an adaptation of the Travolta film, with music by Clint Black and Travis Tritt. A Dec. `98 reading reportedly had James Carpinello and Laura Lukas as the leads.

The show, directed by Daniel Roussel, played at L.A.'s Mark Taper Forum May-June 1999. Played Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre Feb. 17-April 1, 2000; London May 2000. Was targeted for Bway in spring 2000.
