The historical Holliday, by profession a dentist and by talent a gambler, made his name at the OK Corral, where he, Wyatt Earp and Earp's brothers confronted and killed three cowboys who had challenged them to a fight. Holliday's story has been told in a myriad of movies including ""The Outlaw," "Gunfight at the OK Corral," "Tombstone" and "Wyatt Earp."

Link first made his name with the 1969 hit rock musical, Salvation, to which he contributed music, lyrics and libretto. He also wrote the music to the 1971 flop, Earl of Ruston and 1978's King of Hearts, set for a revival at the Goodspeed Opera House in fall, 2002. Bravaco, co-librettist with lyricist Rosler, also contributed book and lyrics to Dorian Gray.

Kevin Varner stars as Doc Holliday with Steve Barcus (Roadside) as Wyatt Earp. Also in the cast are Bradley Campbell, Jimmy Nelson, Gina Biancardi, Candace Evans, Jon Morehouse, Will Trice, Chip Wood, Jay Taylor and Christopher Gleason.

Tickets are $15-$25. The Irving Arts Center's Dupree Theater is located at 3333 North MacArthur Boulevard. For reservations, call (972) 252-2787. — By Christine Ehren
