News Susan Stroman, John Kander and Paula Vogel Fill Vineyard Season The Off-Broadway theatre company The Vineyard has announced that its 2015-16 season will feature new works by Pulitzer winner Paula Vogel and Tony nominee Colman Domingo; Domingo's offering will be directed by multiple Tony winner Susan Stroman. The company will also stage the New York premiere of John Kander's new musical Kid Victory in the fall of 2016.

Domingo's Dot tells the story of family matriarch Dotty and her struggle with dementia and the relationship with her three adult children, will follow. Described as "a testament to the enduring bonds of family, this hilarious and moving new play grapples unforgettably with aging parents, midlife crises, and the heart of an inner city neighborhood." This New York premiere will be directed by Tony winner Stroman, who returns to the Vineyard following her direction of the acclaimed Kander and Ebb musical, The Scottsboro Boys, also starring Domingo.

Vogel's Pulitzer-winning play How I Learned to Drive premiered to critical acclaim at the Vineyard in 1998. She returns with her brand-new work Indecent, a play with music slated for spring 2016. Created with award-winning director Rebecca Taichman (Stage Kiss), the story follows the controversial 1923 Broadway debut of Sholem Asch's God of Vengeance and the artists who risked their careers to perform this seminal Jewish work.

A third play is still yet to be announced.

In the fall of 2016, Vineyard will also stage Off-Broadway premiere of Kid Victory, the new Kander and Greg Pierce collaboration that recently debuted at the Signature Theatre in Virginia. The show, which will launch the company's 2016-17 season, is helmed by Liesl Tommy and features a story by Kander and Pierce, music by Kander and book and lyrics by Pierce.
