New York City Center presents the Off-Center Jamboree July 16, featuring Encores! Off-Center alum Sutton Foster and Jonathan Groff—along with special guests—performing Off-Broadway selections. Outgoing Off-Center artistic director Jeanine Tesori is at the piano for the one-night-only event.
Off-Center Jamboree! is part of the 2016 Encores! Off-Center season, which features the recent staging of Runaways and the upcoming presentation of God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater, the first collaboration between Little Shop of Horrors' Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. The musical comedy about an eccentric millionaire, based on the Kurt Vonnegut novel, will play July 27-30 starring Santino Fontana (Cinderella), Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening), James Earl Jones, Rebecca Naomi Jones and Kate Wetherhead, among others. It will be directed by Michael Mayer (American Idiot) with choreography by Lorin Latarro.
