News SUV: The Musical! Takes Up Space at New York Fringe Fest, Aug. 13-27 Haters of SUVs—that is, Sport Utility Vehicles, those bulbous, overgrown, all-terrain vehicles that tower over traffic, intimidate pedestrians, guzzle fuel and eat away at the ozone, and yet remain astoundingly popular among carbuyers—will find a musical to love in SUV: The Musical!, a new show being presented at the New York International Fringe Festival, Aug. 13-27.

The show, presented by Neo-Shtick Theater—is described as your standard "boy-meet-girl, boy-designs-really-big-car-for-girl, girl-leaves boy-for-environmental-activist, boy-is-sentenced-to-death-for-crimes against-humanity" love story. The show was written by Gersh Kuntzman (former author of the New York Post's "MetroGnome" column and a subsequent column at Newsweek) and Marc Dinkin and is directed by Eric Oleson.

The cast includes Dina Plotch, Kenny Wade Marshall, Jerry Miller, Jennifer Kersey, Adam Wolfsdorf, Chris Griggs, Christian Maurice and Derek Roland.

Shows are at the Village Theater, at 158 Bleeker Street in Manhattan.
