News Talk Show Icon Larry King to Tour Standing Up Across U.S. Emmy Award-winning veteran talk-show host Larry King has announced that he will play a series of one-night-only engagements with Larry King: Standing Up beginning April 14 in Torrington, CT.

King, whose popular television talk show "Larry King Live" ended its 25-year run in December, will share his own personal stories with American audiences in the new tour that is produced by Base Entertainment and Karl Engemann. Jim Millan will direct.

According to presenters, "Starting with his life growing up as a street-smart kid in Brooklyn to tales from his storied career as the greatest interviewer of all time, Larry King’s style and wit will give audiences an evening to remember. Audiences will also have the extraordinary opportunity to ask their own questions of the broadcast veteran (and now stand up comedian!) in a Q&A with Larry King at each performance."

Torrington, CT (April 14 at the Time Warner Theatre)
Wilkes-Barre, PA (April 15 at the Kirby Center for the Performing Arts)
Westbury, NY (April 16 at the Theatre at Westbury)
Baltimore, MD (May 13 at the Hippodrome)
Atlantic City, NJ (May 14 at the Music Box)
Reno, NV (June 10 at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino)
Las Vegas, NV (June 11 at the Mirage Hotel)

Additional tour dates will be announced.

King has earned the Emmy, Peabody and CableACE Awards for his work on televsion. His show "Larry King Live" was the highest-ratted program on CNN for over 25 years. He has interviewed such entertainment icons as Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli, Bette Midler, Marlon Brando, Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Elizabeth Taylor.
