The evening, entitled Miranda Sings, will play the famed jazz venue March 29. Show time is 7 PM. Press notes warn to "expect special guests, including Broadway's John Tartaglia, onstage voice lessons, fashion makeovers and dramatic readings of hate mail."

Miranda is an internet character created by California-based theatre student Colleen Ballinger, and proliferated via YouTube.

Tartaglia was Tony-nominated for his performance in Avenue Q; his Broadway credits also include Beauty and the Beast and Shrek The Musical. He also appears on the Emmy-nominated "Johnny and the Sprites." Imaginocean, a new family musical adventure created and written by Tartaglia, will begin performances at New World Stages March 17.

Birdland is located in Manhattan at 315 West 44th Street. For tickets, priced $25-$35 (plus $10 food/drink minimum), call (212) 581-3080 or visit www.BirdlandJazz.com.
