News TCM Will Go Behind-the-Scenes of London's Gone with the Wind Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is documenting the behind-the-scenes preparations for the new musical stage version of Gone With the Wind, which begins previews at the West End's New London Theatre April 5 prior to an official opening April 22.

For "Gone with the Wind – The Making of the Musical," a TCM camera crew has been given exclusive access to shadow the production, following the process of the cast and crew, led by director Trevor Nunn and stars Darius Danesh (as Rhett Butler) and Jill Paice (as Scarlett O'Hara), as they prepare to bring the show to the stage. Nunn, Danesh and Paice are amongst those who will be interviewed, alongside other members of the cast and crew, as they rehearse the production; there will also be behind-the-scenes footage of marketing campaign meetings and photoshoots. In a press statement, Alan Musa (TCM VP and Channel Manager) said, "'Gone with the Wind' continues to be one of TCM's most popular films and the stage production further emphasizes its appeal to audiences today. We are thrilled to have this unique opportunity to give our viewers an insight into such a major production."

The U.K. television premiere of "Gone with the Wind – The Making of the Musical" will be April 20 at 1 PM on TCM, preceded by the film at 9 AM. It will be repeated on April 24 at 8 PM.
