And yet another balmy night on Broadway! As Summer just refuses to leave the Great White Way, the stars floated out of Central Park and into the Plaza for the Drama League's Centennial Gala to honor super-star Bernadette Peters!
Bernadette Peters ruled the red carpet in her red, red, red Zac Posen gown! With beaded and appliqued leaf embellishments, it was the perfect shimmering sheath to honor the perfect shimmering figure of a star who remains forever-young! Bernadette always looks spectacular! The evening may have been to honor her, but she honored all of us by gliding down that red carpet looking like a gazillion dollars! This was truly a night to remember!

Lesli Margherita in the fabulous "tea-length" that's so retro that it's modern! Who doesn't love strawberry-red satin? And box-pleats to set off that teeny waist and the sweet ribbon belt! Her entire ensemble and those cascading curls gave Lesli the "princess" factor for the night.

Leanne Cope was priceless in her black-on-black lace overlay dress. That adorable pixie-cut, her make-up, and the long-lace sleeves were chic and young at the same time! A perfect way to set off that million-dollar smile!

Annaleigh Ashford looking young and fresh in a mint green satin cocktail dress with so-on-trend cut-aways! Yes, we know it's fall, but this dress says "Easy-Breezy," and who can say "no" to Annaleigh? Certainly not Joe Tapper in his super handsome peak-lapeled tux!

Mara Davi featured a satin salute to black-watch! With cute little concealed pockets to slip her hands into and those "cagey" sandals, she was another breath of fresh air on a Fall night!

Cary Tedder wore his tux with a little more "oomph" featuring a baby-blue shirt, five-button vest and that very bold-bow-tie! It was a night of tuxes on most of the men, but Cary's had that extra pizzaz that matched his own natural pizzaz! And the pocket square? A+!

Sydney Lucas tip-toed in as a nod to the ballerina silhouette! Again, the sky-aqua satin was as fresh and airy as a summer night, but the garlands in silver stitching lent her lovely dress all the sophistication it needed for the occasion. And if you possibly missed the point, those ballet slippers made it all "en pointe"!

Marti Gould Cummings brought the "downtown" edge to the red carpet in black leggings, skyscraper-high-heels and a black-and-silver sequin-y top! That mile-wide belt was FAB, and the chandelier earrings in a green that set off those big eyes! Oh, Girrrrl! You are FIEEERRRRCE!
