News The 24 Hour Musicals Will Be Held in April The second annual 24 Hour Musicals will be held April 13 at The Gramercy Theatre in Manhattan.

The fundraiser is billed as "a celebrity charity challenge where stars from theatre, film, TV and rock unite to create four brand new musicals in one day."

The evening, presented by Exchange, will benefit the Orchard Project. Show time at the Gramercy is 8 PM. A VIP after party will be held at the National Arts Club.

Last season's benefit featured the talents of Brooks Ashmanskas (The Ritz), Celia Keenan-Bolger (...Spelling Bee), Kerry Butler (Xanadu), Victoria Clark (The Light in the Piazza), John Ellison Conlee (The Full Monty), Gavin Creel (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Raul Esparza (The Homecoming), Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Spelling Bee), Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up), Nellie McKay (The Threepenny Opera), Denis O'Hare (Take Me Out), Steven Pasquale (The Light in the Piazza), Mo Rocca (Spelling Bee), Claudia Shear (Dirty Blonde), Tracie Thoms ("Rent") and Rita Wilson (Chicago).

Casting for the 2009 The 24 Hour Musicals will be announced shortly.
