The 78th Street Theatre Lab's New York premiere production of William Mastrosimone's mystery The Undoing will complete its run June 27. In the play, Lorraine Tempesta fights alcoholism and brutal working conditions to keep her family business, a chicken butchery, afloat, when, one year after her husband's violent death, a mysterious stranger named Berk enters her life. Mastrosimone is best known for his play Extremities, which won the Outer Critics Circle Award for best play in 1983. Eric Nightengale directs a cast including Etya Dudko, Laurie LeFever, and Vincent Sagona as Berk.
The 78th Street Theatre Lab is a non-profit theatre specializing in play development and collaboration between dramatists and the artistic community. For tickets ($12) and information, call (212) 873-9050.
