News The Amas Musical Theatre Song Salon To Kick Off Nov. 15 with Guest Gerard Alessandrini Forbidden Broadway creator Gerard Alessandrini will be the inaugural guest of The Amas Musical Theatre Song Salon, which is billed as "a series of elegant evenings celebrating the American Songbook," kicking off Nov. 15.

The evening will take place at a private midtown Manhattan residence, with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres served at 6 PM and the program's start set for 7 PM.

Phillip George will direct a cast which, in addition to Alessandrini, will include Forbidden Broadway alums and theatre vets Cristina Bianco, Donna English, Gina Kreiezmar and Kevin B. McGlynn. David Caldwell will serve as musical director.

The Song Salon is described as "a periodic series of informal evenings exploring the American Songbook, including conversations with its foremost practitioners and performances by guest artists. The evenings will feature limited attendance in informal and elegant environments, including private homes and apartments."
