News The Baker's Wife's Paul Sorvino Will Offer Solo Concert Stage and screen star Paul Sorvino, seen in the 2006 New York City Opera mounting of Frank Loesser’s The Most Happy Fella, will offer a rare concert appearance Nov. 11.

Paul Sorvino Sings, a one-man performance of operatic arias, popular standards and classic Neapolitan love songs, will be presented at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. Show time is 8 PM.

In a statement the actor said, "Opera has always been a grand dream of mine. I have memories of Robert Merrill at the Met, these are things beyond description…"

Paul Sorvino has appeared on Broadway in Bajour, Mating Dance, An American Millionaire, Wheelbarrow Closers and The Championship Season, earning a Tony Award nomination for his work in the latter. His film credits include "Dick Tracy," "Goodfellas," "Nixon," "Romeo + Juliet," "The Cooler" and "That Championship Season." He can also be heard opposite Patti LuPone on the original recording of The Baker's Wife.

A portion of the proceeds derived from the evening's performance will benefit The Paul Sorvino Asthma Foundation Children's Fund.
