Tomlin will perform the evening of her classic comedy Jan. 29 and 30, 2011, at the 5th Avenue. The Tony and Emmy Award-winning comedienne has been touring throughout the U.S. with the laugh-filled show.
Famous for her sketches and characters on "Laugh-In" and other TV programs, and her work in "9 to 5" and Broadway's Search for Signs of Intelligent Life..., Tomlin will take to the stage at 8 PM on Jan. 29 and 3 PM on Jan. 30, 2011.
The evening promises appearances by Tomlin's signature characters, including Edith Ann, Ernestine the Phone Lady, Sister Boogie Woman and Mrs. Beasley.
Tomlin earned Tony Awards for Appearing Nightly and The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. A six-time Emmy Award winner, her screen appearances include "9 to 5," "And the Band Played On," "All of Me," "A Prairie Home Companion," "I Heart Huckabees," "The West Wing," "The Incredible Shrinking Woman," "Lily: Sold Out" and "Edith Ann's Christmas: Just Say Noel."
