Presented by Rodgers & Hammerstein, An Imagem Company, the evening will take place at The Museum of Jewish Heritage and will feature performances by cast members Bryce Pinkham, Lora Lee Gayer, Megan Lawrence, Megan Sikora and Corbin Bleu. Speakers will include Ted Chapin, R&H president and chief creative officer; Gordon Greenberg, Holiday Inn’s director and co-book writer; and Andy Einhorn, the show’s music director.

The event will explore the show’s transition from Oscar-winning film to stage production. The musical, which debuted at Goodspeed in 2014, features music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by Greenberg and Chad Hodge, inspired by the 1942 film. The Broadway production will be directed by Greenberg, with choreography by Denis Jones. Previews are set to begin September 1, with the show set to open officially October 6 at Studio 54.

Holiday Inn tells the story of Jim, who leaves the bright lights of show business for the peace and quiet of a Connecticut farmhouse. “He quickly discovers life isn’t the same without a bit of song and dance,” state production notes. “Jim’s luck takes a spectacular turn when he meets Linda, a spirited schoolteacher with talent to spare. Together they turn the farmhouse into a fabulous inn with dazzling performances to celebrate each holiday, from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July. But when Jim’s best friend Ted tries to lure Linda away to be his new dance partner in Hollywood, will Jim be able to salvage his latest chance at love?”

The musical features over 20 classic songs from the Berlin catalogue, including “Steppin’ Out With My Baby,” “Shaking the Blues Away,” “Easter Parade,” “Cheek to Cheek” and “Heatwave.”

The event takes place at 7 PM at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, located at 36 Battery Place, New York. Admission is free, but tickets can be reserved at
