The show is playing to Aug. 29 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre as part of the 14th annual NY International Fringe Festival. It marks Schultz’s second entry in the Fringe field.

The Daily News is also represented second-generationally among the 200 original theatre works on this year’s Fringe front. Bradford Proctor and Alaina Kunin’s Bunked!, a new musical which also plays the Lortel (to Aug. 23), is a frolic about five summer-camp counselors embarking on their own journeys of self-discovery. One, fresh from the national tour of Spring Awakening, is Ben Moss, son of Brian Moss, once a Daily News features editor and now with Reuters.

No One Finer Than Frank Shiner, which plays the Cherry Lane Theatre Studio Aug. 19-28, is by Sinead Daly, who is heeding both her literary and theatrical heritages: Her father is the Daily News columnist, Michael Daly, and her grandfather was William Prince, the actor who was Christian to Jose Ferrer’s Oscar-winning Cyrano de Bergerac and a perennial Broadway favorite (I Am a Camera, John Loves Mary, Mary, Mary). Her play, a comedy, concerns a couple of young lovesick stalkers (Aja Nisenson and Anne Troup).
